Program Overview

An Embedded System is a combination of hardware systems and software systems built into equipment that is not always recognized as being computerized, such as the systems that control a car s anti-lock brakes, an automatic pilot of an aircraft, or the sensors and filters used in processing plants. The vast majority of control systems built today are embedded, that is, they rely on built in, special-purpose microcontrollers to close their feedback loops. This program has been essentially designed to address many such technical bottlenecks, and other aspects of embedded and networked control.
