Program Overview

Physiology is a branch of Biology dealing with the mechanical, physical, biochemical, and bioelectrical functions of humans in good health, their organs, and the cells of which they are composed. In essence, it is the study of what keeps humans physically alive and going, and, specifically, how cells, tissues, and organisms function to form a whole being. The program aims to build in enrolled students an advanced understanding of the basic functions of different parts of the human body, how the body maintains homeostasis, how different organs participate in it, and such. It deals with the normal functioning of each bodily system separately, like the cardiovascular system, gastrointestinal system, excretory system, respiratory system, etc.
