The Master of Accounting (MACC) at University College Cork (UCC) is a one-year postgraduate conversion programme that gives you a fast-track route into a professional accounting career. You’ll gain both the technical knowledge and professional competencies in areas like reporting, assurance, corporate finance and analytics, making it ideal if you want to qualify as an accountant or step into finance roles with confidence.

Graduates of the Master of Accounting (MACC) at UCC are strongly positioned to embark on professional accounting careers and related finance roles, with many moving into positions such as Trainee Accountant, Financial Accountant, Audit Associate and Management Accountant within both practice firms and industry. The programme is designed to help you complete much of the study and examination requirements for professional accounting qualifications, meaning you can fast-track your journey to becoming a chartered professional: upon successful completion of the MACC you may be eligible from all but the Final Admitting Examination (FAE) of Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI).
