MA Historical Sciences

2 Years On Campus Masters Program

University of Trento

Program Overview

"The master's degree in historical sciences is addressed to the study of all forms of memory, in the continuous interrelationship between the historical disciplines proper and those sciences (once called ""auxiliary"") that deal with their understanding. It therefore aims to provide a high qualification about the ways of creating and preserving memory: knowing how to use it and how it is used to pass down the memory of events and opinions, and to distinguish within what has come between reality and fiction. commonplace. One learns therefore to exercise a critique that, albeit in a more specialized way, is nothing but the attitude that should guide every conscious citizen towards structures of power and information mechanisms."
