The degree program in modern Philology forms competent graduates on the most important issues related to linguistics and literature. In the first instance, it aims to provide a wealth of knowledge (historical, textual and interpretative) consistent and high quality, on all aspects of Italian literary tradition: deepened through the most up-to-date linguistic and philological methods and tools, the most current currents of literary criticism, but also the unavoidable attention to the foundations and enduring contributions received from the Latin language and literature, as well as from the Romance literature of the Middle Ages.
