Kobe University

Program Overview

Advances in technology and the aging population are issues of the modern society that essentially relate to human behavior, and to address the issues, we need a greater understanding of the mechanisms and principles of how human behavior evolves as a person ages, and how a person adapts his or her behavior to society and the environment. Aiming for a broader viewpoint on actual human behavior from the perspective of the social and natural sciences, this course focuses on a number of fields, including gerontology, exercise gerontology, sociology, applied physiology, motor science, and behavioral adaptation. Students will develop the ability to adopt an interdisciplinary approach to matters related to human behavioral development and adaptation to the environment in old age
