The nutrition specialist promotes public health, contributes to the objectives of European nutrition policy and carries out scientific activities. Graduates of the program have acquired in-depth theoretical and methodological knowledge, research skills and are able to independently carry out scientific research in the fields of nutrition, food, biochemistry, food chemistry and toxicology, are able to analyze, critically evaluate and generate new ideas and alternative approaches to nutrition in public health promotion and nutrition. to prevent the associated diseases, in order to achieve the World Health Organization, European Union and Latvian nutrition policy goals.
