Program Overview

Mechanical, semi-mechanical, chemical and biological pulping systems, fibre characterisations and properties (including physical, morphological, chemical and mechanical), bleaching bio-bleachings, chemical modifications of fibre, additives, enhancing paper properties, pulp and paper products from non-wood resources, developments of specialty paper products, printing, water and waste managements, economics and managements of pulp and paper mill. Manufacturing process using recycled paper. Black liquor recycling technology. Water and air pollution. Synthesis and characterisation of biopolymers from natural resources. Modifications of ignocelluloses, developments of new products and applications, adhesive chemistry and technologies, surface coatings and adhesion mechanisms.
