Program Overview

This field of study is designed for students to understand and manage fisheries. Students in this field will have the opportunity to conduct studies on fish reproductive biology, food habits, biodiversity, fish physiology and fishery technology emphasising the population dynamics, resource assessment, and management for sustainable economic yield. Fishery sciences undertake a diverse breadth and scope of research to support the academic programme, as well as to help resource managers and the public to better understand fishery resources and how they can be best conserved and sustained.
