Program Overview

An applied programme in crop protection, plant pathology involves the study and understanding of the etiology, epidemiology and management of plant diseases with the aim of increasing agricultural production and limiting losses caused by pathogens and other predisposing factors. In addition to the traditional research on the various diseases of vegetable, ornamental, tree and fruit crops, other research disciplines include the study and use of microbial pathogens as bioherbicides and role of mycorrhizae in agricultural systems.

Additional Information & Requirements

BSc in Biology or equivalent with min. CGPA 2.75/4.00; or BSc in Biology or equivalent with several years of experience in a relevant field, A minimum score of 35 in Internet-based TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) ; OR A minimum score of 5.0 in IELTS (International English Language Testing System); or A minimum score of 154 in Cambridge English Advance (CAE); or A minimum score of 154 in Cambridge Proficiency Advance (CPE); or A minimum score of 36 in Pearson Test of English (PTE); or English is the candidate's mother tongue or National Language; or The candidate graduated from an Institution of Higher Learning in which the medium of instruction at Bachelor and Master level is English;
