Program Overview

This programme provides postgraduate training in clinical applications of physics in medicine and biology, particularly with regard to ionizing electromagnetic radiation. The main areas of focus are the planning, quality control and safety considerations for medical imaging (general x-ray machines, CT scanners, MRI scanners, ultrasound scanners, etc), nuclear medicine imaging (gamma cameras, SPECT scanners, PET scanners, etc) and radiotherapy (LINACs, brachytherapy equipment, etc).

Additional Information & Requirements

Should require Bachelor s degree with Honours or equivalent in physical sciences; or Bachelor s degree with Honours or equivalent in a programme of study consisting of courses in physical sciences; or Bachelor s degree or equivalent in physical sciences and at least three years working experience in the relevant field; or equivalent qualification approved by the Senate from time to time,Satisfies the Department responsible for the candidate s programme of study in an Entrance Evaluation recognised by the Faculty, Certified copy of your orginal diploma, Certified copy of your complete list of grade, Financial Statement, Certified copy of passport, English Language requirement To obtain a score of 600 for a paper-based total (PBT); a score of 250 for a computer-based total (CBT) or a score of 100 for an internet-based total (IBT) for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL); or To obtain a band of 6 for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
