Program Overview

Research in surgery focuses on promoting health and well-being of animals through better understanding of animal surgical management and prevention of related problems. Studies in this area include application of surgical techniques on animals as models to understand disease pathogenesis, treatment and prevention, as well as development of minimally invasive diagnostic techniques, tissue reconstruction and replacement, application of novel biomaterials and surgical implants.
