Program Overview

Molecular Imaging is a study involving the visualisation of the cellular function and the follow-up of the molecular process in living subjects (human or animal) using advanced imaging techniques. The multiple and numerous potentialities of this field are applicable to the diagnosis of diseases such as cancer, neurological and cardiovascular diseases including infections and inflammatory conditions. This technique is clinically utilised in the early detection of diseases, monitoring treatments and follow up. The ability to image fine molecular changes opens up an incredible number of exciting possibilities for medical application through multidisciplinary integration in science, technology, medicine and pharmacy.
