Program Overview

Recent research in analytical chemistry involves synthesis and characteriation of materials and nanomaterials for analytical purposes utilising synthetic and natural resources (e.g. synthetic ligand, photocatalytic material, functional polymer, natural based sorbent, nanocellulose, nanofibre, nanostructured materials, etc). Analytical application of the prepared materials includes but is not limited to environmental clean-up, sensor application and other analytical method development. Examples of method developments explored are electrochemical and optical based analysis, chemical and biosensor development and water treatment procedures and prototypes.
