Program Overview

The inorganic chemistry field of study covers the spectrum from physical-inorganic to synthetic inorganic and organometallic chemistry. The main research focuses on coordination chemistry and bioinorganic chemistry. Coordination compounds of particular interest are those that show biological activity such as anti-cancer, anti-microbial or anti-oxidant activity. An important goal in this field is the examination of the structure-biological activity relationship of compounds synthesised using computational studies.
