This field of studies focuses on development and current legal issues of halal products. This includes development of halal products laws, development of fiqh and usul, management of fatwa on halal, development of Islamic legal principles, system and the administration of Islamic laws, international trade laws, consumer protection laws, and product liability and safety laws. The difference between this field of studies with other legal studies is that it not only concerns with the sanctity of halal products but also the application of Islamic legal principles in modern business.
