Program Overview

This course teaches highly specialised knowledge in the field of Medical Physics which is expertise in the recognition and correction of less than optimal performance or clinical use of medical devices and the implementation and management of programmes for protection of patients/staff/public/research volunteers from physical agents associated with medical devices. All Medical Physics activities are based on current best evidence or own scientific research when the available evidence is not sufficient. Medical Physicists need to have a critical awareness of knowledge issues in the field and at the interface between physics and medicine.
