Describes climate change and its impact on natural environments such as soils, sediments, lakes, groundwater, wetlands, estuaries, and oceans. Includes evolution of life, the development of sedimentary basins, carbon sources and sinks, biogeochemical and geochemical fingerprinting of sedimentary processes/environments, and climate reconstruction.
