Program Overview

Biological engineering, biotechnological engineering or bioengineering (including biological systems engineering) is the application of engineering principles to address challenges in the fields of biology and medicine. The Applied Science Programme provides graduates with in-depth knowledge, information literacy and interdisciplinary perspective. The graduates understand the theory and the application of scientific principles (e.g. observation, abstraction, logic, hypothesis, experimentation and peer critique), and the programme targets those areas of scientific knowledge and application that will benefit people and economies nationally and globally.
