This is the only programme in Scandinavia that offers a specialisation in Old Norse and Celtic philology supplemented by optional interdisciplinary studies. The aim of the programme is to provide a deeper understanding of the Nordic Viking Age and Medieval times and the neighbouring Celtic culture. This should be accomplished through in-depth studies of literary sources (texts) and historical objects
