Program Overview

In two years, you will master the analysis of metagenomic and transcriptome data, learn how to assemble and annotate the genomes of prokaryotes and eukaryotes, learn how to apply modern methods of genomic analysis, and even possibly create your own new methods and computer programs for analyzing genomic data. We will teach you how to confidently program in Python and a little in R, you will understand modern statistical methods for analyzing genetic data, master working with Linux and GitHub, learn how to install and run complex bioinformatics software. You will also learn how to work on a computing cluster and write your own data processing pipelines. From the very beginning, we will immerse you in scientific work with real genomic data and projects from around the world.
