Program Overview

The Division of Family Medicine organises the right siting of care as its service contribution. It works with various divisions in NUH to right-site patients who are stable and can be followed up in the community either as shared care patients or as discharged patients to the family physicians. The Division also has teaching and health services research missions. This programme exposes the residents to a public-private mix that extends the breadth of primary care exposure to firsthand experience of private GP practice in graduated blocks of learning, continuity care and chronic disease management at FMC Continuity Clinic, specialist ambulatory care experience, and rotating hospital postings.
