Program Overview

Ophthalmology is the field of medicine that deals with the anatomy, functions and diseases of the eye. Being both a medical and surgical discipline, it allows the clinician to not only identify the eye problem but also operate on the eye. Ophthalmology is one of the few specialties which encompass both a medical and surgical discipline. Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynaecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynaecology (OB/GYN) which is a surgical field.
