Masters Degree in Advanced Diagnostic Imaging Techniques in Cardiology

1 Year On Campus Masters Program

Autonomous University of Barcelona

Program Overview

The field of diagnostic imaging techniques in cardiology has been widened in recent years by the incorporation of two new modes: cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) and cardiac computed tomography (CT). Both techniques have been commonly used in radiology since the eighties, but never had a prominent role in cardiology until computer technology advanced sufficiently to reduce the time needed to obtain images, which is crucial in the case of an organ that is in continuous movement, like the heart. Classes are normally in Catalan, but Spanish can be used if there are non-Catalan speaking students.
