Program Overview

Surgery of the hand and the upper limb is a sub-specialty of orthopaedic surgery and traumatology. For the day-to-day practice of this surgery, there is a need for theoretical and practical knowledge of the upper limb in particular, and also of anatomy, surgical entry paths, osteosynthesis, arthroscopy, cutaneous coverings and microsurgery. This knowledge is acquired over many years of study in different centres and from specific courses on osteosynthesis, arthroscopy, microsurgery etc. The Master's Degree in Surgery of the Hand and Upper Limb aims to help students in systematically building up the skills and expertise they need.
