Anthropology studies cultural diversity in all its complexity. Anthropologists intend to understand how humans live in society as well as the cultural, political and economic practices that characterize them. Anthropology is nowadays an indispensable tool for understanding a wide variety of issues such as migration and transnational relations, development, education, consumption, poverty and marginalisation, health, procreation and gender relations, as well as the relationship that humans have with space and the environment, among others.
