The education contains theoretical studies, in the form of both counting and reading courses, as well as laboratory exercises, which teach you practical methods used in modern chemistry and biotechnology. The first years are a mathematical foundation with general problem solving and modeling skills that are characteristic of a civil engineer. You read a lot of chemistry, cell and molecular biology and some physics, so you get a deep understanding of the molecular and physical mechanisms that form the basis of all biological and chemical processes.
