Program Overview

This Master's Degree major focuses on the theory and history of photography in all of its manifestations from its early beginnings until the global contemporary present day. The goals of the module, alongside the deepening of academic education as well as a broad and precise knowledge of the subject matter and the historical conditions of the medium of picture photography, are to reveal the complex aesthetic, ritualistic, historic, economic as well as cultural and socio-historical meanings and functions of the history of photography.

Bachelor s degree with a total of 180 ECTS credits from a university recognized by the University of Zurich, Proficiency in German Language, Goethe Zertifikat C2, IELTS of 7.0, TOEFL Internet-based 100.
