The multilingual master's program Literary Studies / Literary Studies / tudes litt raires at the University of Basel invites you to study General and Comparative Literature intensively along the crossroads of European literatures and cultures in past and present. Knowledge in at least two literatures can be deepened and refined in a comparative way. The subjects are English, German, French, Ibero-Romance, Italian, Northern, Slavic, Greek and Latin Philology, as well as Literary Studies in Jewish Studies. In addition to the respective cultural and literary history and the actualities of the language regions, the subjects convey their own tradition and their self-image at the University of Basel.

A Bachelor's degree in at least one philological Bachelor's degree from the University of Basel or with proof of equivalent academic achievements, provided at a university recognized by the University of Basel, IELTS of 6.0, TOEFL ibT of 80, English language (level B2 or C1), Letter of Motivation, CV, German Language Proficiency.
