Master in Philosophy

Philosophy reflects the human self-understanding and asks for the basics of action and cognition. It starts where other sciences stop and looks for sensible final orientations, without which every scientific and social development must be blind. It leads to analyzing controversial basic questions in dealing with texts. It can be understood as an argumentative activity that aims to give reasons and counter-reasons to give oneself and others an account of the basic presuppositions of our thinking, being and doing. In the study, one's own ability to argue and criticize is practiced and theoretical creativity stimulated. At the master's level, students are largely free in the choice of courses.
