Religious Studies is an empirical, historical-philological and comparative discipline that describes religion from a cultural and social perspective and explores what religion means for people, culture and society. Its subject area includes basically all religions from the past to the present and also phenomena that are classified as religious under certain theoretical premises or demarcated from religion - such as atheism, nationalism, occultism, esotericism, capitalism, etc. In addition, religions are in a reciprocal relationship with others Areas of society such as politics, economics, law or art, which must be taken into account in the study of religion.
