Master in Critical Urbanisms

The English-language master's program Critical Urbanisms of the University of Basel trains a new generation of graduates. He teaches them to bridge the gap between city and countryside and north and south to better understand the complexities of urban living in the 21st century. Internationally recognized professors lead the program and deal with the development of cities and territories from a global perspective. The study program is built around an interdisciplinary research studio in which the students collaborate and combine humanities and social science methods with visual and spatial analysis. The second semester is spent either in South Africa at the African Center for Cities of the University of Cape Town.
