Master of Geomatics

This broad term applies both to science and technology, and integrates the following more specific disciplines and technologies: geodesy, surveying, mapping, positioning, navigation, cartography, remote sensing, photogrammetry, geographic information systems, global positioning system. The modern scientific term referring to the integrated approach of measurement, analysis, management, storage and display of the descriptions and location of Earth-based data, often termed spatial data. The department has cultivated more than 1,000 spatial information talents, and has been employed by government agencies, teaching and research units, engineering consultants, land surveying and mapping companies, information companies, technology companies and other private enterprises.
