Opportunities for masters-level pharmacologists exist in the pharmaceutical industry, government agencies, and laboratories, as well as at biotechnology companies. Masters students may also decide to apply for Ph.D. or M.D. programs, where the coursework completed in this master's program will prove beneficial. Typical matriculants to the M.S. program have a B.S. degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or similar science field. Applicants with an undergraduate degree in any other discipline must show strong performance in basic courses in biology and chemistry in order to be eligible for admission.
