Program Overview

The Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence at Ajman University is a two-year, full-time postgraduate programme that gives you in-depth knowledge of AI principles, algorithms and techniques so you can design, analyse and build intelligent systems for real-world challenges. You’ll combine core theory with elective study and a substantial Master’s Thesis to prepare for careers in AI development, machine learning, computer vision and related fields.

Curriculum Structure

Year 1 — Core Foundations & Essential AI Knowledge:
In your first year you lay the groundwork in artificial intelligence through core modules such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining (MAI601) and Machine Learning (MAI603) — giving you both conceptual understanding and analytical skills in pattern recognition, predictive modelling and intelligent algorithms. You’ll also begin taking Master Electives in areas that match your interests, building breadth and depth in specialised AI topics.

Year 2 — Specialisation, Electives & Thesis:
The second year deepens your expertise with further Master Electives (such as Robotics (MAI605) and other choices) while you focus on your Master’s Thesis (MAI699) — a research-led project where you apply learned methods to solve a significant AI problem or explore an innovative application, demonstrating your ability to work independently and contribute to the field.
