The MA Architecture & Adaptive Reuse is a one-year, on-campus master’s that focuses on transforming existing buildings and places in sustainable, creative, and culturally sensitive ways. Curriculum Structure
Year 1 (Full-Time)
You’ll explore core modules that blend theory and hands-on design. In The Future of the Already Built, you’ll experiment with design strategies for reuse, while The City, The Building, The Room helps you understand buildings in their social and urban context. Memory and Anticipation encourages you to research and develop creative proposals, leading into the Research Project and Adaptive Reuse Resolutions, where you bring your ideas together in a real-world design project.
Year 1–2 (Part-Time)
Part-time students cover the same core areas over two years, balancing design exploration, research, and project development with professional or personal commitments.
