Business Administration MBA

16 Months On Campus Masters Program

University College London

Program Overview

The UCL / Peking University MBA in Business Administration is a unique dual-campus program that combines world-class business education with a deep understanding of the Chinese market. It’s perfect for ambitious professionals who want to boost their leadership skills, gain a global perspective, and explore real-world business challenges.

Curriculum structure

Phase 1 – Core Learning
In the first stage, you’ll cover the essential business foundations, including Accounting & Finance, Strategy, Organisational Behaviour & Leadership, Decision-Making & Analytics, Marketing, Operations, and Economics & Business in China. These modules give you the tools to understand how businesses work globally, make data-driven decisions, lead teams effectively, and navigate both Western and Chinese business landscapes.

Phase 2 – Electives & Specialisation
Next, you’ll choose from a range of electives such as Entrepreneurship & Innovation in Europe, Digital Marketing, Managing Across Cultures, or Emerging Business Technologies. This is where you can follow your passions, sharpen your expertise, and apply what you’ve learned to practical challenges, whether it’s launching a startup idea or leading a digital transformation project.

Capstone Project
Finally, you’ll complete a Business Research Project – a hands-on, real-world assignment where you solve a management problem or create a business plan. This gives you the chance to apply everything you’ve learned and showcase your ability to think strategically and deliver results.

Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

At UCL’s MBA with Peking University, learning goes far beyond lectures — you’ll get hands-on experience solving real business problems, working in teams, and applying new ideas immediately. The programme is designed so that every student develops practical skills, builds a professional network, and gains confidence in leadership and decision-making.

Here’s what that looks like in practice:

  • Immersion Weekends: Dive into intensive weekend workshops in London where you tackle real business challenges, collaborate with peers, and hear from industry leaders.

  • Business Research Project: Complete a 12,000-word capstone project or consultancy-style report addressing a real management issue, often in partnership with a company.

  • UCL MBA Labs: Collaborate on initiatives like the Sustainability Lab, Analytics Lab, and Global DigitalHack, working on live projects that drive innovation.

  • Executive Coaching & Leadership Development: Receive one-on-one guidance from faculty coaches to strengthen your leadership, team dynamics, and professional skills.

  • International Experiential Module: Take part in a short-term overseas experience, visiting another country to meet business leaders and explore regional markets firsthand.

  • Campus & Networking Opportunities: Access UCL’s London campuses, including Canary Wharf and Bloomsbury, where you can connect with industry professionals and expand your global network.

With these experiences, you’re not just learning about business — you’re doing it. You’ll graduate ready to lead, innovate, and make an impact in any global organisation.
