The University of Birmingham Full-Time MBA is a fast-paced, one-year program designed to help you grow into a confident, responsible leader in today’s global business world. Curriculum Structure

Autumn Term

In the first term, you’ll dive into core subjects like Accounting, Accountability and Decision-Making, Marketing, People Management & Organisations, Strategy in a Complex and Uncertain World, Sustainable Operations, and Understanding the Economy. Alongside this, the Purposeful Leader module runs throughout the year, helping you explore your own leadership style and the values that drive your career.

Spring Term

During the spring, you get to choose from a range of electives tailored to your interests and career goals. You’ll also take part in a global immersive module, giving you hands-on experience in a business environment abroad — whether in Mexico, Southeast Asia, Europe, or the Middle East — and helping you understand how business works in different contexts.

Summer Term

The summer term is all about applying everything you’ve learned through your MBA Project, which can be a company-focused project, an entrepreneurial venture, or a research dissertation. You’ll also take part in signature events like the Deloitte Consultancy Challenge and the MBA Symposium, connecting with peers and industry leaders to showcase your skills.
