The MSc Business Analytics at the University of Birmingham is designed for students who want to turn data into real business impact. Curriculum Structure

Year of Study (Full-time, 1 year)
You’ll begin by building a strong foundation in how analytics supports modern organisations through modules such as Business Analytics and the Digital Organisation and Data Analytics and Predictive Modelling. These modules introduce you to analytical thinking, data interpretation, and predictive techniques used by businesses today.

As the programme progresses, you’ll apply analytics to real business functions through modules like Applied Analytics for Operations, Supply Chain and Logistics, Marketing Analytics and Behavioural Science, and Data Management Strategies and Technologies. This stage helps you understand how data drives decisions across marketing, operations, and strategy.

Towards the end of the programme, you’ll complete a Business Analytics Capstone Project and optional Analytics Micro Courses, where you work on a practical analytics challenge. This final phase allows you to bring everything together and demonstrate your skills in a way that employers truly value.
