The MSc Business Analytics at Kent Business School is designed for students who want to turn data into smart, real-world business decisions. Curriculum Structure:

Year/Term 1:
You’ll start by building a strong foundation in business analytics, learning how to work confidently with data from day one. Modules such as Big Data Analytics and Visualisation introduce you to handling large datasets, text analytics and data visualisation, while Spreadsheet Modelling and Decision Automation develops practical problem-solving skills using advanced spreadsheet modelling for business decision-making.

Year/Term 2:
In the second stage, the focus shifts to prediction and advanced analysis. Through Machine Learning and Forecasting, you’ll explore how organisations use models to predict trends and behaviour, while Simulation Modelling helps you understand how complex business systems can be tested and improved before decisions are made in the real world.

Final Term:
Your final term is where everything comes together. You’ll apply your learning to real business challenges through The Business Analytics Challenge or gain hands-on industry experience via a Professional Placement or Internship, with optional modules allowing you to specialise in areas such as supply chain analytics or financial technology.
