University of Kent Background:
The University of Kent is a public university which was established in the year 1965 and is located in Kent, United Kingdom. The University was granted its Royal Charter on 4 January 1965 and the following year Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent was formally installed as the first Chancellor. The university's original name, chosen in 1962, was the University of Kent at Canterbury.

University of Kent Programs, Courses, and Schools:
The University of Kent is divided into three faculties, humanities, sciences, and social sciences, which are further sub-divided into 20 schools. Some of the schools are: Kent School of Architecture, School of Arts, School of English, School of Bioscience, School of Computing, School of Engineering and Digital Arts, School of Anthropology and Conservation, Kent Business School, School of Economics, Kent Law School, and more. The university is also divided into six colleges; each college is named after distinguished scholars. Colleges have academic schools, lecture theatres, seminar rooms and halls of residence. Most of the programs have been accredited by well-known firms.

University of Kent Campus:
The University of Kent has a main campus located in campus provides a welcoming environment and a close-knit student community. Campus life revolves around six colleges, the Templeman Library, the Gulbenkian arts centre and the Mandela Building (home of Kent Union) – all set among green and tranquil open spaces. The university also has campuses located in Medway, Tonbridge, Brussels, Paris, Rome, and Athens.

University of Kent Achievements:
The University of Kent was ranked 22nd in the UK by 2018 The Guardian newspaper, while The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018 put Kent in 25th place, as does The Independent's Complete University Guide. 

University of Kent USP:
The University of Kent provides scholarship and grants to the students on the basis of academic excellence. Sporting facilities are spread across two main sites: the sports centre, which contains several multi-purpose sports halls, a fitness suite, squash courts, and climbing wall, and the Sports Pavilion site, with a variety of indoor and outdoor sports pitches and training facilities. The students are provided with a Student Union, Dorms, Libraries, Cafes, Clubs, and a lot more.

University of Kent Scholarships

1. Kent Scholarship for Academic Excellence

Presented by the University of Kent, international and domestic undergraduate freshman of the university are applicable for this merit-based scholarship on the basis that they achieve high academic excellence from previous academic institutions. While this installment-based scholarship requires no extra application to fill out, only applicants to the university are applicable.

Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines

May be held in conjunction with a University bursary and most other undergraduate scholarships.

Must have AAA at A level or equivalent. AAB at A level or equivalent is acceptable if one of the subjects is either Mathematics or a Modern Foreign Language.

Must be entering the first year/Stage 1 of undergraduate degree study at the University of Kent’s Canterbury or Medway campus from September 2019.

Must not already hold an undergraduate degree.

Must not be participating in the Higher Degree Apprenticeship scheme.

Must fulfill entry conditions of the University of Kent.

Must have applied and be accepted to the University of Kent.
