Curriculum Structure
Year One (Taught Modules)
In your first year, you’ll explore the core building blocks of business. Modules like Understanding Organisations and the Business Environment introduce how businesses operate within wider society, while Global Marketing and Managing People help you understand consumer behaviour and leadership in practice. You’ll also tackle Analysing Financial Performance and Strategic & Operational Decision Making to sharpen your analytical and decision-making skills, and finish the year with Business in Action, a hands-on project where you apply what you’ve learned to solve real-world business challenges.
Year Two (Professional Placement Year)
The second year is all about putting your learning into action. You’ll spend at least eight months on a professional placement, gaining real work experience and building your CV. Alongside this, you’ll complete a Consultancy Project, where you tackle a real business problem and propose evidence-based solutions, guided by both your academic mentor and your placement provider. This experience not only strengthens your skills but also gives you valuable insight into the workplace and industry expectations.
