Business and Management MSc

12 Months On Campus Masters Program

University of Nottingham

Program Overview

The MSc Business & Management at the University of Nottingham is designed to give you a strong foundation in all key areas of business — from finance and strategy to leadership and organisational behaviour. Whether you’re aiming for a career in multinational companies, a start-up, or even your own venture, this programme gives you the practical skills and confidence to make smart, strategic decisions in today’s fast-moving business world.

Curriculum Structure

Autumn & Spring (Taught Modules):
In the first part of the programme, you’ll dive into modules like Corporate Financial Management, learning how companies make investment and funding decisions, and Managing People & Organisations, where you explore leadership, teamwork, and organisational culture. Alongside this, Managerial Economics helps you understand the economic forces that shape business decisions. As the year progresses, Research Methods for Management Studies prepares you for your final project, teaching both qualitative and quantitative research techniques and helping you design your own dissertation or business project.

Summer (Final Project):
During the summer, you’ll put everything you’ve learned into practice with a dissertation or business project. This is your chance to tackle a real-world management challenge, conduct research, analyse results, and propose actionable solutions — almost like running your own mini consultancy.

Optional Modules:
You also have the flexibility to explore areas that match your interests and career goals. Popular choices include Corporate Strategy, Human Resource Management, Entrepreneurship, International Finance, Operations & Supply Chain Strategy, and more, giving you the chance to tailor the programme to what excites you most.
