INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT MSc

12 Months On Campus Masters Program

London South Bank University

Program Overview

The MSc International Business Management at LSBU gives you a deep, practical understanding of how organisations operate across global markets, helping you build the confidence to make smart, strategic decisions. It’s a great fit if you’re ambitious, internationally minded, and ready to step into roles where you lead people, shape strategies, and work across cultures.

Curriculum Structure

Early Stage (Term 1)
You’ll start by building a strong foundation in global business thinking through modules such as Consultancy, Enterprise and Innovation, Decision Making, and Strategies for International Market Expansion. This phase strengthens your ability to think like a global leader — understanding how businesses grow internationally, analysing markets, and using innovation to solve real-world challenges.

Middle Stage (Term 2)
Here, you explore the human and analytical sides of global business with modules like International Organisational Behaviour, Quantitative Project Control Systems, and Research Methods. You’ll understand how people work and behave in international organisations, learn to manage multicultural teams, and gain the analytical tools needed for strategic research and project leadership.

Final Stage (Term 3)
Everything comes together in the Capstone Project and Launch, where you apply your learning to a real business issue. This project is your chance to demonstrate strategic thinking, problem-solving, and leadership — the exact skills employers look for in global business professionals.

Focus areas: international strategy, global marketing, sustainability, organisational behaviour, innovation, and project management.

Learning outcomes: you’ll graduate able to evaluate global business challenges, develop forward-thinking solutions, manage international teams, lead projects, and make strong, evidence-based decisions in international environments.

Professional alignment (accreditation): accredited by the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs (IoEE), reflecting LSBU’s strong industry ties and practical, career-focused teaching.

Reputation (employability rankings): LSBU Business School is part of a university shortlisted for the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Awards – Best Business School, and the programme’s strong industry links help graduates move into roles across consulting, marketing, finance, HR, leadership, and international project management.

Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

At LSBU, your learning goes far beyond lectures. From day one, you’ll be applying what you learn to real-world business challenges — whether it’s analysing global markets, managing projects, or creating innovative strategies. The programme combines teamwork, consultancy-style projects, and hands-on research to ensure you graduate with skills that employers really value. You’ll also have access to modern facilities, specialist software, and expert support, so you can practise decision-making, data analysis, and international business leadership in a realistic setting. Here’s how LSBU helps make your learning practical and career-ready:

  • Industry-standard software and analytics tools such as Bloomberg Suite, SAGE, FAME, Nvivo, and SPSS, giving you real experience analysing financial data and conducting market research.

  • Group projects and consultancy-style assignments embedded in core modules, where you’ll solve business challenges as part of a team — just like in an international company.

  • Internship and placement opportunities (available in the “with Internship” option), allowing you to gain professional experience and strengthen your CV before graduation.

  • Clarence Centre for Enterprise and Innovation, offering mentoring, workshops, and business advice to support entrepreneurial ideas and practical projects.

  • Modern, collaborative campus spaces, designed for interactive learning, discussions, and group work.

  • Research and Capstone project support, helping you apply theory to real-world data, develop strategic recommendations, and present professional-level business reports.

These experiences ensure that by the time you finish, you’re not just confident in business theory — you’re ready to step into global business roles and make an immediate impact.
