MSc Marketing

1 Year On Campus Masters Program

Nottingham Trent University

Program Overview

The MSc Marketing at Nottingham Business School is designed to give you a solid grounding in both traditional marketing strategies and modern, data-driven approaches. Whether you’re new to marketing or looking to deepen your expertise, this course equips you with the skills to work across products, consumer insight, and global markets.

Curriculum Structure

Semester 1
Your first semester sets the foundation. In Principles of Marketing, you’ll explore how marketing works in practice, learning frameworks that guide decisions in any business. Understanding the Customer Experience helps you dive into consumer behaviour, brand loyalty, and the digital customer journey, while Strategic Global Marketing gives you a big-picture view of international markets and how companies plan to compete successfully around the world.

Semester 2
In the second semester, you’ll focus on applying your knowledge. Marketing Management shows you how to create campaigns and connect marketing with broader business functions. Creativity in Product Innovation challenges you to think like a product manager — designing new products and evaluating trends. Contemporary Perspectives in Customer Engagement and Customer Insight through Market Research give you hands-on experience using data and research to understand consumers and make informed marketing decisions.

Semester 3
In your final semester, you’ll put everything into practice with a Consultancy Experience Project or a Business Research Project, tackling a real business challenge or conducting industry-relevant research. Alongside this, Professional Practice supports your career development with workshops, mentoring, and skills-building exercises to prepare you for the marketing world.
