The MA in Creative Theatre and Entertainment Technologies is developed in partnership with industry employers to help you develop your career as a designer or technician in the events and entertainment industries. You can choose from a variety of specializations, such as lighting and sound design and programming, scenic design and engineering, video design and digital visualization, production management, and more. As part of your studies, you will have the opportunity to undertake a work placement and/or an industry-focused project.

Prospective students are required to possess an undergraduate degree with honors in a related field such as arts, humanities, or technology. We also encourage applicants who lack prior qualifications but have equivalent professional experience. Applicants must show a strong interest in Creative Theatre and Entertainment Technologies and be ready for master's level study. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds, and as the course is offered in a distance-learning format, we particularly encourage applicants from outside the UK or those with established professional experience who can benefit from the flexibility that this program offers. Applicants will be required to participate in an online interview as part of the application process. You must have competence in English language to study with us. The most commonly accepted evidence of English language ability is IELTS 6.0 (with minimum 5.5 in all components).
