A minimum of a second-class Bachelor's degree from a UK university or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard, Qualified Teacher Status, at least two years' full-time relevant experience (equivalent to Key Stage 1 in England), and a Reading Recovery teacher's qualification. If applicants do not have a degree, a qualifying route is available which involves the submission of an essay or presentation of a portfolio of previous work. If the applicant is not qualified in Reading Recovery an additional pre-course unit can be negotiated (at extra cost). IELTS- standard level overall grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6 in each of the subjects/good level overall grade of 7 with a minimum of 6.5 in each of the subjects/advanced level overall grade of 7.5 with a minimum of 6.5 in each of the subjects. TOEFL - standard level score of 92 overall with 24/30 in reading and writing and 20/30 in speaking and listening/ good level score of 100 overall with 24/30 in reading and writing and 20/30 in speaking and listening/ advanced level score of 109 overall 24/30 in reading and writing and 20/30 in speaking and listening.
