Program Overview

NTU’s MSc Medical Engineering is a cutting-edge, multidisciplinary programme designed to address both UK and global challenges in the healthcare and medical technology sectors. The course blends core engineering disciplines with biomedical innovation, preparing students to work at the interface of engineering and clinical applications. It draws heavily on the university’s research strength and partnerships with the Medical Technologies Innovation Facility (MTIF), the SWIFT research group, and active collaborations with clinical and industry stakeholders.

With a focus on employability and real-world impact, students participate in hands-on projects involving surgical communities and healthtech start-ups, and have the opportunity to access advanced labs for AR/VR, robotics, bioprinting, and medical imaging.
