University of West LondonThis course is designed to advance analytical skills in the core subject areas of civil engineering including structural analysis, sustainability and hydraulics. Application of modern IT techniques to complex problem solving is a theme that runs through the course. The Internship Course seeks to provide the same rigorous and challenging programme of professional practice as the MSc Civil and Environmental Engineering but has the added advantage of including a 6 months internship incorporated into the period of study. This makes it ideal for students seeking to add a practical dimension to their studies and understand the demands of workplace supervision and management. Internship opportunities exist throughout the civil and construction industry within the UK. The course also covers broader issues of project and process management in Civil Engineering.
