Curriculum Structure

Autumn Term:
You’ll start by exploring the core of business and management. Accounting for Decision Makers will show you how to read and use financial information to make smart business choices. In Global Business Environment, you’ll get a big-picture view of how engineering companies operate worldwide, while Managing Organisations, Innovation and Sustainability teaches you how to lead teams, drive change, and bring new ideas to life.
Spring Term:
The focus shifts to practical management skills. Managing Complex Projects, Products and Systems will help you plan, organise, and manage large projects effectively. With Strategic Management, you’ll learn how to align engineering goals with business strategy, making sure your technical solutions have real impact in the marketplace.
Summer Term / Project:
Your final project is your chance to put it all together. The MSc Engineering Project lets you tackle a real-world or research-based challenge, applying everything you’ve learned — from technical skills to strategy and finance. You may also pick optional modules like Industrial Automation, IoT Systems, or Autonomous Vehicles to dive deeper into areas that excite you.
